The process in detail

How the process works, step by step

Behind the three steps above sits Capital Appraisal's standard valuation process — the same one we apply to every engagement under RICS Red Book standards. This is how it runs from start to finish.

Request

Tell us which assets you want to sell through the form on this page. A specialist reviews your case and contacts you to understand the transaction and your business objectives.

Scope proposal

We define the scope of the engagement with you — asset typologies, number of units, sites and deadlines — and you receive a clear proposal before we start, with no obligation.

Inspection and technical capture

The valuer inspects the assets and captures their condition in a structured way: photographs, technical data sheet, remaining useful life and levels of obsolescence.

RICS Red Book report

We build the valuation combining the cost, market and income approaches as the asset requires, and set the indicative market price that will anchor the sale.

Delivery and start of the sale

You receive the digitally signed report — delivered from 48 hours on urgent engagements — and we activate the buyer search to bring the offers to you.
The deliverable

What the valuation report includes

Every engagement closes with a digitally signed report and the supporting documentation that makes each figure defensible before a bank, an auditor or a buyer.

  • PDF/A valuation report with digital signature
  • Detailed inventory with a technical data sheet per asset
  • Market and liquidation value estimates (FMV / OLV)
  • Secondary-market analysis per asset typology
  • Executive summary for management
  • Methodological traceability and documented sources
Common questions

Frequently asked questions about the process

What is the valuation report valid for?

The report is prepared under RICS Red Book standards and issued with a digital signature and full methodological traceability. It is valid for legal, tax, accounting and banking use, and is accepted by the main financial institutions, auditors and insurers.

How long does the valuation take?

It depends on the number of assets and sites. On urgent engagements the report is delivered from 48 hours; for complete portfolios of a plant or company, the deadline is fixed in the scope proposal before we start. The buyer search begins once the indicative market price is set.

What types of assets can be sold?

Industrial machinery and complete production lines, industrial vehicles and fleets, technology equipment and IT infrastructure, spare-parts stock and auxiliary assets, as well as industrial buildings and land. A single engagement can combine several typologies.

How is the confidentiality of the transaction protected?

Capital Appraisal is a firm regulated by RICS: we act independently and free of conflicts of interest, the information on your assets is used exclusively for the valuation and the buyer search, and you receive detailed, traceable information at every stage of the process.
